Vision
A quick reminder for you! The Board and I are facing a bit of a conundrum presently. We need to make some decisions about the electrical and heating systems at the church. It is pretty clear we need to make a sizable investment in our electrical system ($15000-$20000). And it is clear we need to do something about our heating system, as our current boiler is becoming unreliable and short on available parts. A new boiler could cost anywhere from $20000-$50000, depending on what we get and how it is installed. Heat pumps would cost between $25000-$30000, and we would still need to use the boiler during the coldest months. Please pray for wisdom in this matter, and for God to provide the resources necessary to cover these investments. Reminder: We need volunteers to help with Amherst's Big Give as it could be one of the biggest events we have ever run! Donations of household items in good condition will be collected June 3-7. Also, make sure you are around on Sunday June 2nd for Pastor Sheryl's final Sunday and a celebration following the service! |
Wins
1. I had several conversations this week about how remarkable the timing of our messages have been lately... not remarkable; miraculous! 2. I noticed SOOOO many people coming early and staying late on Sunday to connect with others and make new connections! 3. Our Department Leaders did an incredible job last Sunday presenting their ministry departments and sharing where you might fit into the work they do! I don't think any of them wanted to get up and speak publically, but they did it and they did amazing! |
Is It Time to Quit That Relationship?Time to Quit? - Sunday, May 26, 2024 When relationships start going bad or your feeling about them changes, we often start wondering if it may be time to get out of them. Or, sometimes they are causing problems but we don't want to give them up! How are we supposed to know which relationships we should be keeping and which ones we should be quitting? As with everything that has to do with relationships, that is a complicated question! God gives us some key guidance and wisdom in figuring this out though. 2 Cor 6:14 When your attachment to someone keeps you away from Jesus, it needs to change.
