We have a dessert auction happening this Saturday at 7pm, with all the funds going directly to support our Christmas Wrap-Up that blesses our community and those in need. I hope you will come out and fight to pay outrageous prices for a good cause!

Our Christmas Wrap-Up is happening on Dec 15th, which is the same day as our Children's Christmas Pageant, and our Worship Night. This will be the first year we have done the Wrap-Up on a Sunday and we are hoping that you will join us in the projects we have going on that day. Some of them will be group projects and others will be things you can do as a family. It is a great opportunity to cover our neighbours and community in the blessing of Christ.

1. Our final Seniors Lunch was packed on Monday! It will be exciting to start having meals Monday-Friday with Souls Harbour in the new year!

2. I heard this week about a little boy in elementary school (and attends our Konnect Kids program) who is having an incredibly positive influence on his teacher and fellow students, and is very confident but doesn't act arrogant! His teacher called him a "light" in the classroom. Jesus is using him to push back the darkness, even as a kid in public school!

3. Our ministry workers (volunteers) have been serving with incredible faithfulness and commitment lately! Some have been showing up for ministry, even when they are discouraged that more people aren't taking advantage of what is offered. Others are meeting and planning from 9-11pm because that is the only time they can all get together. Still others are investing in new initiatives and others keep going even though they are getting tired! Thank you!!!!

Mary and Martha had Jesus in their home; Mary made spending time with Jesus a priority while Martha allowed herself to be distracted by the "chores" in the home. During the Christmas season we are met with the same descision; make Jesus the priority or get distracted by the hustle and bustle of the season. If we get distracted, we will miss Christ at Christmas.

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)

Mondays at 7pm

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development.
