I have been working to figure out the plan for AWC and Connection (Truro). I have managed to get a few things in place so that I will only need to stream-in the sermon to AWC twice this summer! The other Sundays will either be familiar guest speakers or I will actually be in Amherst preaching! This plan also allows me to be in Truro a lot. I am excited about how things are coming together and ask that you would continue to pray for me and our churches as we sort through all of this, and also be watching for where God might be asking you to be part of the mission to reach Cumberland and Colchester Counties!

1. The Big Give took place last Saturday, and it ran so smoothly, seeming to be such a positive experience for our guests. We just need more of it for next year!
2. I continue to have multiple people reaching out to me, asking to chat about their faith, their life direction, and what they need to do to see freedom and fullness in their lives. These aren't shallow conversations about the weather; they tackle some deep issues, and they sincerely want to do the hard work of seeking God with all of their hearts.
3. I also heard about one person who had been feeling that they should reach out to someone in the church they hadn't seen in a while. They finally just picked up the phone and called them! It was an excellent conversation, and they now feel like this is what they should be doing on a regular basis: reaching out to people, even by phone, each week or month!
4. The new chairlift has been installed! It is not operational yet because it needs to be inspected first, but we are getting closer to having an operatioinal system!

Parents are not always easy to get along with and sometimes they are not the kind of people who are even honorable. Yet, God tells us that we are supposed to honour them. How does that make sense? Are we supposed to do whatever they tell us, even if it is wrong or stupid? Is this something we are supposed to still hold to? This is a hard question, but when you realize the difference between respect and honour and the clear directive of God, it becomes something we can only do with Jesus.

Membership Class

If you'd like to know what the Wesleyan Church believes and are wondering how to become an official voting member of the church, this class is for you.

You don't need to be a member to attend or even serve at AWC.

Voting on church decisions and taking on certain leadership roles in the church do require you to be an official member. This helps to ensure that we as a church are maintaining our core values and beliefs.

We will be participating in the Canada Day Celebration in Downtown Amherst this year!

It will take place 1pm-3pm on July 1st.

Caton's Island is a Summer Camp in Brown's Flat NB run by the Wesleyan Church. Have you thought about sending your kids to camp?

Beulah Family Camp is held annually in early July. The high calibre speakers, fine singers, and interesting events planned for the whole family continue to be a drawing card. Beulah offers children’s programming, a teen schedule, Bible teaching, praise and worship music, special concerts and events like “Super Saturday” and “Evening-on-the Boulevard,” and a full schedule of daily activities for the whole family to enjoy. There is something for everyone during the 10 days of camp!

The beautiful Saint John River flows past the shores of Beulah Camp. Many summer activities are possible on-site, with numerous options of interesting things to do in the southern New Brunswick area readily available. Don’t let the summer go by without taking in Beulah. If you’re not one of the hundreds of people who come to Beulah each year – we’d like you to be! We’ll be looking for you!

Family camp is Friday July 4 to Sunday, July 13 2025. The Official Opening of Beulah 2025 will be Saturday, July 5 with Super Saturday.

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)
