Vision
When I met with our Board on Sunday afternoon and looked at our finances, as we do at these meetings, I had to talk about how God has been providing for our church. We have spent a lot of money in the past year: new roof, new boiler, new electrical, renovating the apartment! Things have been tight financially with those investments, but God has provided. Earlier this year we got a grant that helped us pay for the roof. This past month someone made a special donation to help cover the cost of the apartment renovations. Our electrical upgrades were done without any labour costs, and so was the majority of the boiler install. Actually, the savings we had by having those two projects done with minimal labour cost is so astronomical we couldn't have done the projects otherwise. God has continued to provide the finances we have needed, and He has made ways for the money to go further. God is not limited by money. If He wants us to do it, He will make a way. He has made a way. He will do it again. Thank you for being obedient in your giving and serving. And be sure to honour our God for how He has multiplied all that far beyond what we could dream or imagine!

Wins
1. I am having so many conversations with people where there is an obvious sense of growth and maturity developing in them and it is just so much fun seeing Jesus more and more in our people! 2. Pastor Brad was telling me about how his volunteers are personally investing in ministry more and more, and they are able to use special connections and skills to push things ahead like never before. 3. I had someone from our church call me this week wanting to do more to serve the church and advance the Kingdom of God, and they offered to do some pretty big things that will require a significant investment of energy and skill to accomplish.! |
Walking Into the UnknownKeep Your Eyes on Jesus - Sunday, November 17, 2024 The key to following Jesus is to actually follow Him. That can be a hard thing to do, especially when the path gets scary or when people start to attack you because of what you are doing. But, if we want to get where He is going, the only way to get there is to follow Him there. The Bible is full of examples of people facing this challenge and realizing they can't to the promises of God any other way. We need to keep following Jesus because we don't know where to go next, and He does.
