Vision
A couple weeks ago we gave out copies of our Mid-Year Business Update which included updates on our finances. It showed that our reserves have taken a big hit from all the facility repairs and updates over the past couple years. We even had to use up a reserve we had in case there was a pastoral change and needed to help them get established here. Well, I need to ask you to be in prayer about two more things. First, we feel in order to accommodate the number of people we get each Sunday, and to keep the Kids Ministry area free from adult traffic, we need to install a second washroom upstairs. We are estimating $1200-$1500 for the supplies to do that. Second, our stairlift to the basement has died. They don't make that model anymore and can't get parts for it (of course!), so it needs to be replaced with a whole new unit. The initial quote I was given for that was about $13 000. I will be applying for a couple grants that could help us pay for this, but there is no guarantee we will get it, or that it will cover the total cost. We really need this lift for Souls Harbour and our other ministries. Please be in prayer for God to provide the funds needed for these projects and be listening for His leading. If He is calling you to make a sacrificial donation above and beyond your tithe, take the step of faith. (I say "above and beyond your tithe" because simply taking from the regular tithes and donations that come in to pay for these projects will just put us behind in other areas) Obviously, money will make a huge difference here, but it won't be as impactful as prayer. It was through prayer and God's provision that we we able to do all that we have done in the past couple years with as little funding as we had. We need to be praying and to be obedient to His leading. That's how we handle these challenges. Thank you for going to prayer for these things with me.

Wins
1. I keep hearing stories about how the recent sermons have been speaking specifically to certain people and certain situations, as if they were delivered just for them at just that time! You know these messages are prepared months in advance, and this just shows how God has known all along what you have needed! 2. We took part in a 24 hour prayer event last weekend and it was encouraging to see so many people want to be part of that work! 3. I am having more and more conversations with people who are learning to hear God speak to them. Their growing awareness of His voice and His leading, along with their growing confidence in recognizing His voice is sooooo exciting! I get to watch God unlock the scriptures for them and also guide them through unqiue situations and questions in their lives! |
InfluenceStart Right - Sunday, January 26, 2025 Daniel's story is remarkable for many reasons, not least of which is how it all took place where he was considered an outsider. He wasn't from the place, he had no family heritage to those people, he didn't grow up in their culture, he didn't follow their religion. Yet, he managed to have an enormous impact on the people around him. Several times he had such an impact on a leader that it influenced an entire region. What if we followed God as boldly as Daniel did? Following Jesus makes others look in His direction. Daniel 2:46-49 For more infomation visit:
