I was sick most of the week and missed most of our Fall District Ministerial in Moncton. It was a special one this year with a special guest presenter and gathering with the pastors from the PAOC (Pentecostal Association of Canada). I managed to take in part of the presentation on Thursday though, and it was both fascinating and encouraging!

The presentation on Thursday focused on deliverance ministry, which is essentially removing demonic influence and presence from our lives! It wasn't dramatic, it wasn't over-the-top, it wasn't based on a some guy's loud voice or holy water or special incantation. It was systematic and simply based on the authority of Jesus and the victory He won through His shed blood and resurrection!

There were a ton of things that stood out to me, but I think this is what I want you to know most about it:

Jesus has authority to tie-up and throw out any spirit that pesters/torments/distracts/discourages/tempts you, and His Spirit has so much good for you instead!

1. We continue to be amazed by people coming to us seeking guidance and support while being incedibly honest and vulnerable. So often we are surrounded by people who don't want to admit they need help, refuse to accept help, and aren't willing to show anyone their weaknesses, but not at AWC. That honesty and vulnerability is the path to holiness!

2. We held a Worship Night on Sunday that was so significant for a number of people. There was something special about the environment, about the worship, about how God used it to touch hearts and families. Worship is about honouring and loving God, but it also has the incredible effect that when we draw close to God, He draws close to us!

3. I think we hit our candy target needed to slime Pastor Brad! That's all you need to know... I mean, we might have more than that, but it's really not that important... all you need to know is that we get to slime Pastor BRAD!

We need 20 trunks and 13 000 pieces of candy to slime Pastor Evan!

Okay! Fine! Yes, you get to slime Pastor Evan and Pastor Brad! Happy now?

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)

Mondays at 7pm

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development.
