Are you bringing Jesus to work with you?

We have always believed that Jesus should have an effect on your entire life and that you should be sharing your faith with those around you, but as North America changes, it is becoming more and more important that we be beacons of light in our workplaces.

Actually, we are realizing just how incredible of an opportunity it is for you to be working with people who don't know Jesus. We don't need to wait for people to come to church to hear the Gospel, you have already been sent right beside them! 

As a pastor the doors of opportunity for me to interact with the lost are getting harder and harder to find. The work of sharing the Gospel was never meant to be only my job though! It has always been the job of all Christians! And as doors close on me, they open more and more to you. 

I understand there are some limitations on how much you can share in your workplace without breaking policies, but there are more opportunities than you might think. God has placed you where you are for a reason.

Jesus goes to work with you. Or maybe, you are going to work with Jesus.

1. We started our English class this week and one person said that it was a gift for them to be able to attend!

2. More and more pieces are coming together for Pastor Sheryl and Dwayne as they work through all the details of moving to Truro to take on the Wesleyan Church there!

3. I am once again amazed at how God is working through conflict and hard conversations to bring about growth and maturity, while also strengthening relationships in our church!

Sometimes our behaviours are traps in themselves, and sometimes the circumstances of life leave us trapped. We all know what it feels like to be trapped though. It's one of those feelings that can drown out everything else and leave you completely crippled. This happens especially in those situations where you don't think anyone will ever be able to save you. We know Jesus can reach us wherever we are, but the rescue requires something significant from us...

If you're trapped, play dead.

A night of worship. Songs, Prayer, and creative elements will be used to set aside time to simply focus on God and give Him glory.

All Hands on Deck!

We need everyone to help us with projects around the church.

- Tiles in the washroom

- Organize and clean the kitchen

- Run wire in the basement ceiling

- Secure the front door latches

- Clean the building

- and other projects!

Seniors are invited to share a meal with us, connect with each other and hear some encouraging words at our Seniors Luncheon.

Please call Sharon Taylor at 902 660 2558 to reserve a spot.  If you don't get a chance to call come anyway!

There is no set charge for the meal, it is by donation only.

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.

Do you need to get out of the house so you can talk to other adults? Do your kids need to get out of the house so they can play with other kids and have some space to run around?

Come check out our casual play group on Thursdays. There is no agenda and parents are responsible for their own children. Our basement space is a large open space and perfect for letting kids run and play together!
