Vision
I think last week I mentioned how a couple people were intentionally reaching out into the community to connect with people and give them hope. Well, this week I was thinking about Pastor Brad and how he has started occasionally substitute teaching. I was walking by the school and thinking about how that kind of connection in our community with parents, staff and students goes far beyond what we can do on our own in our building. Not only that, but the government is paying him to be there! Does he get to preach to the students? No. Does he get to be an example, and build connections? Yes. Will God use those connections in our community to open doors? I think so! I am so excited about how God is setting up these touch-points to get His light into our community! How is God using you as a light IN the world?

Wins
1. I feel like my chaplaincy at the Amherst Police Department is going really well, and no one has arrested me for any of my jokes, so that is a real positive sign! 2. So many people are sick right now, including me earlier this week, and the willingness of SOOOOOO many people to fill in gaps and help families in crisis has been remarkable. No hesitation from people. They just jump at the drop of a hat, even when they have their own lives to deal with. That's an amazing community God has built here. 3. Many of our small groups are finding their rhythm and are serving their people really well. I noticed at one group this week just how passionate they were about the Word of God, and about the people in their group. They were absolutely committed to making sure everyone was able to dig into the word without feeling attacked or like they didn't belong!

Even If...Start Right - Sunday, January 12, 2025 We like following God when things are going well, and it is easy to keep following Him when we think that we will get everything we want from Him. It doesn't work like that though. Bad things happen. Sometimes we wonder, "why didn't God stop that from happening?" Sometimes people even talk as if that question proves that God doesn't exist or doesn't care about us. God is no stranger to that question, and neither were the people in the Bible. For three men in the book of Daniel, they made their stance absolutely clear. Daniel 3 He's worth it, even if all you get is Him. For more infomation visit:
