Post-modern philosophy is primarily based on the idea that the human individual is the only certain reality, thus it is the basis for truth and identity. Our culture has been formed by this way of thinking, mistrusting every institution, leader, and study that contradicts one's personal ideas. The big problem with that though is that the individual person is constantly changing and rarely is able to handle pressure. We shift like the sand. How can truth be discovered when it is constantly shifting? There must be something more stable!
We are not stable enough to form our own identity.
