Frequently we treat people well in order to get something in return. This happens in casual relationships, in our marriages and families, with strangers and even at work. There are even people in our lives whom we are nice to ONLY because we want to get something from them. Jesus lived in a different way though, and Paul makes it clear we should be living like Him.
Life is not about you; you are here to give not get.
