Hebrews 7:18-19, 8:6-13

As life throws problems at us we have developed a number of different strategies for handling them. Some of them are better than others, but we have made do with what we have. These coping mechanisms range from building emotional walls to over-exercising. Sometimes we even find them to be so effective we think they may have solved the problems, but then we start to notice the new problems those strategies have caused. They were never solutions, only band-aids. God has a better option for us.

Don't mistake temporary remedies for a cure.
