In the feast of Unleavened Bread, the Jews were to remove every trace of yeast from their homes, including the crumbs from bread that had been baked with yeast. This helped them remember how God had saved them from Egypt, but it also reminded them that they needed to get rid of every trace of sin from their lives. When Jesus came, He pointed out one more detail for them, that He is the perfect sinless bread of life!
