Some people feel like they deserve everything good in the world, but the rest of us feel like we fall short all the time and need to make up for that. Even the good things that come our way, we feel like we need to earn them. This carries over into spiritual matters to, and we end up thinking we need to earn God's love, forgiveness and purpose. But that simply isn't true.
