I have gone through the motions of religion, and sometimes poured myself legalistically into it, thinking that my actions will result in making the change I want to see or in making me acceptable to God. It never works though. And, it doesn't have to work, because God doesn't need me to make myself holy. He sent Jesus to do that.
Colossians 2:16-23
You need Jesus, not religion, to make you holy.
