Vision
As I sit here and think about what to share in this newsletter today I am wrestling with some things that have happened lately and I find myself wondering how we are going to navigate these problems. Some things I was hoping for and other things I thought I had already established and were in place, ready to go. But... it appears not so. It feels like the enemy keeps taking cheap shots. What am I supposed to do? But, as I sit here I am also enjoying the sunshine and the bright white snow on the ground. I am tempted to think about how the enemy is pushing back on us as a church, and how I feel lost about what to do next, but this battle isn't up to me. God is well aware of these struggles and well aware of the attacks. Actually, some of these things may not even be attacks of the enemy, they may simply be God working in mysterious ways! I had expectations and God is doing something different; that isn't the enemy that is just me struggling with my wrong assumptions. I don't care what the enemy throws at us, God is not done with us and His Kingdom will advance. It may feel like the enemy is winning, but God may simply be setting things up for victory. It may be cold outside, but there is beauty in the snow. I don't know what God is up to, but I know I should be watching for it, because He is absolutely up to something. |
Wins
1. AWC - Another teen got baptized! 2. Connection - Tuesday evening’s Deck the Halls… of the Church was a success! Christmas decorations have been put up, & many maintenance needs were taken care of. We are so thankful for those who came to help! 3. AWC - So many people were impacted by Tanya Nace's presentation on Sunday and the gathering after service. Some people were moved to tears, some people were talking about it days later. I had one person say to me, "She had me ready to open my wallet and start sending money to some projects." 4. Connection - Many tins & Tim’s cards have been coming in! Keep it up, in order that we can continue our reach in blessing the community! 5. Connection - Our Seniors Ministry, OPUS, had a successful Christmas gathering today (Thursday). |

Christmas Wrap-Up
A message from Lesley T: It’s from 2-4. If everyone comes at 2pm and then people can break off into whatever group or activity after that. We will all pray together first then there is a group getting the stuff together for the Hub, a large group to go Carolling, people to do the shopping for Autumn House, and help putting food boxes together. As well when the Autumn House gifts come back we need to wrap some of those gifts. For more infomation visit: http://amherstwesleyan.com/events/christmas-wrap-up--136/2025-12-06
