Our newsletters will be on break for a few weeks until into the New Year.

So in this final note before Christmas I simply want to share this plea: honor Christmas by acting like Christ.

Don't worry about fitting it. Don't be consumed by expectations. Don't fall into the stress of chaos. 

Just, act like Jesus.

That is the most meaningful way to honor Christ's coming.

Follow Jesus. Act like Him. Celebrate Christmas.

1.  AWC - We held our annual Konnect Kids Christmas Presentation on Sunday and we had 40 kids on stage and 191 total people in the building!

2.  Connection - We found out there were some leaking sinks in the kitchen and decided we better call a plumber and brace for the bill.  Well, the plumber came, fixed it all up and the bill was just over $100! Amazing!!!

3. AWC - Over the past couple weeks I have been meeting with different people and I am amazed by how God is working in them! Some are reaching out for relationship help before things are too far gone. Some are trying to make changes to habits they have lived with for 60 years.  Others are following the advice they have been given and are seeing transformation in their homes. Plus we are seeing people continue to reach out, invite, and get others included!!!

4. Connection - Tins and Tims was a huge success that saw so many different people get involved and bless our community. It was especially wonderful hearing how a few people really stepped up to go above and beyond with this project!

With Souls Harbour using our chairs 5 times a week with serving meals we felt it made sense to update our folding chairs from the old fabric topped ones we have been using for about 20 years. 

We just received the new ones this week!

So, we are getting rid of many of our old folding chairs. We have 30ish chairs (like in the picture above) and are selling them for $5 each!

They are stacked in the church sanctuary, so you can come take them! I want them all gone! You can either drop $5 in the bucket by the chairs, or you can e-transfer us for the chairs you take.  (Don't e-transfer before you take them because I can't guarantee how many will be there).

Choose from either 7pm on Dec 23rd or 7pm on Dec 24th to join us for a Candlelight Christmas Celebration!

Come as you are, or come in your Christmas best, to celebrate the coming of Jesus with Christmas carols, special music, candles, a place to take a family Christmas picture, and maybe another couple special things too!

Last Tuesday of each month at 7pm!

A monthly time to learn, hear testimonies, grow in your faith, find support, discover opportunities for mission work and how to share your faith.

This evening will involve different elements, sometimes with prayer, worship, connecting with Global Partners or developing your confidence in sharing your faith with others.

10pm - Midnight

A night of worship. Songs, Prayer, and creative elements will be used to set aside time to simply focus on God and give Him glory.

Tuesdays 7pm - AWC Downstairs

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. Participants may be asked to cover the cost of workbooks, but if for some reason you are unable to cover that cost, you can still participate. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development. 

For kids in Grades Primary to 6

5:45 - 6:45 pm

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)

Have you downloaded the free YouVersion Bible App? You should.  It allows you to read the Bible in multiple translations, and many with the option to read it to you. It has guided reading plans, and ways you can work through those plans with others.
