If you weren't around on Sunday, you probably missed that Pastor Sheryl announced her intention to resign at the end of June 2024. 

She feels that God is calling her and Dwayne to go. They don't know where yet, but they know they need to be obedient and are anticipating the change.

This has nothing to do with how things have been in Amherst, it has everything to do with God speaking and being clear about what Sheryl is to do next.

Sheryl and Dwayne intend to remain with us at AWC until the end of June, but if God presents His next step before then, they know they will need to leave sooner. 

God is up to good things here at AWC and with Pastor Sheryl. Please be praying that God guides our every step through these changes.

1. The Holy Spirit is already working on people to consider new roles of leadership, without anyone asking them to even think about it first!

2. The Youth experienced one of their best small group discussions last Friday, and things are starting to get real deep!

3. We have been getting some great feedback from people lately that is helping us make better decisions as we move ahead. This feedback is helping us to see more clearly and giving us insight that we have been missing!

Sign-Up this Sunday in the church lobby to join our presence at the Christmas Parade!

The Parade takes place on Sunday Nov 19th, and we will line up at 5:30pm.

It is easy to think that sin isn't a big deal, that we can away with small things and that God only cares about the really big sins and the really bad sinners. It's also really easy for us to think that we are not as bad as all the rest. When we read Ezekiel it becomes clear that things don't work like that. Sin is a big deal, and it is a big deal for everyone.

Join us for a special evening of fun as we showcase our talents. Snacks will be provided and donations will be accepted at the door to help fund our Christmas Wrap-Up event.

Families are invited to join us for a fun Christmas Party where we’ll build a Gingerbread nativity, play games, sing songs, and learn about the First Christmas ever. It’s going to be a BASH!

Space is Limited, Pre-Registration is Required.

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development. 

For kids in Grades Primary to 6

We will spend part of our time together digging into the Bible, Theology and Practical Skills of Faith. We will spend the rest of the evening in focused prayer for each other, our community and listening for God to speak.

I hope this will become a weekly priority for everyone.

This study replaces our small groups for this year only.

Do you need to get out of the house so you can talk to other adults? Do your kids need to get out of the house so they can play with other kids and have some space to run around?

Come check out our casual play group on Thursdays. There is no agenda and parents are responsible for their own children. Our basement space is a large open space and perfect for letting kids run and play together!
