Amherst Wesleyan:

1. ONE CON: 44 students attended (Amherst and Truro combined), there was no drama, many students left impacted, and even though some of them struggled to put things into words it was visible how God was moving in them!

2. We have more people reaching out to us about ways they can be serving and getting more involved! 

3. We had someone reach out to us about how they felt they needed to rearrange their finances so they could start tithing their income at the full 10%, so they did and it turned out that the increase they will be giving matches a need the church has shared! God was confirming their part in the work He is doing!

Connection Church:

1. A group from Digby joined us on Sunday and we ended up having 101 in attendance for worship!

2. We are working hard in the spiritual battle for people, our church and our town. It is taking a lot of time and energy. It is an exhausting process, but we are seeing God take ground!

In a community, you either poke holes or you patch holes with your words.

Everything must go, for FREE! It's like a yardsale, but everything is free and in decent condition! 10am-Noon.

Free haircuts, a bouncey house, face painting, pancake breakfast and more!

Donations can be dropped off at the church starting June 8th.

June 8- 12 (Monday -Friday ) the church will be open from 4-6pm for people to drop off donations.

We're being intentional about looking outward and including new and different people in our lives. During these days we're challenging you to invite your neighbours to your home. It could be for a meal, coffee, to watch a sport game together, or BBQ. Who are your neighbours? People that live next to you, newcomers to Canada, or people you haven't connected with yet from church. If there's any questions on how to effectivley pull this off, contact Pastor Brad.

Last Tuesday of each month at 7pm!

A monthly time to learn, hear testimonies, grow in your faith, find support, discover opportunities for mission work and how to share your faith.

This evening will involve different elements, sometimes with prayer, worship, connecting with Global Partners or developing your confidence in sharing your faith with others.

We will be participating in the Canada Day Celebration in Downtown Amherst!

We need your help to let everyone there know just how much God loves them and sees them.

Pastor Evan has been invited to take part in a special trip to Sierra Leone to discover how World Hope Canada operates and the needs that exist in our world. This will set us up to partner more seriously with World Hope Canada by becoming a Hope Alliance Partner. 

We are taking this step because we believe the work World Hope Canada does is helping some of the most vulnerable people in our world, and they need our help. We have been blessed so we can be a blessing. 

Please be praying for their work, and for Pastor Evan as he prepares for this trip.

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)

Caton’s is offering fourteen different camps this summer for all ages. Don’t hesitate to register our camps fill up fast!

Caton’s Island is a unique place. Situated in the Long Reach, the 120 acre island is a small piece of paradise.  Originally named “Emenenic” – meaning ‘Isle of Prayers’ or ‘Meeting Place’ – a historical monument marks it as the first European settlement in New Brunswick, est. 1611.

Take a walk along the scenic trails that wind through the old-growth forest of massive hemlock, mighty oaks, and towering pines. Visit the remote beaches to sit in quiet solitude, and take in the splendid beauty of the river dotted with sailboats. View wildlife, such as eagles, osprey, and owls, along with deer, rabbits, partridge, raccoons, and the various shorebirds, which often make their home here.

You’ll soon realize that there is something extra-ordinary about this island. To all this, add energetic campers having fun playing, swimming, or worshiping God, and you will begin to grasp the true distinctiveness of Caton’s as a summer camp – a place where kids learn, grow, and experience life.

With more than 100 acres of land, a truly unique Tabernacle constructed in 1897, a stunning view of the magnificent Saint John River, a total of more than 350 cottages, dorms, and RV sites, the annual camp meeting draws Wesleyans and friends from across the Atlantic District and far beyond. The annual camp meeting (Family Camp) is always in early July. While there will be Sunday services throughout the summer, the camp meeting is the absolute highlight of the year at Beulah and you are most welcome to join us.
