Summer is Upon Us!by Pastor Evan The summer season is upon us! things are winding down for the school year, graduations are happening, tents are being aired out, people are on the hunt for new camping gear and everyone is convinced they should try gardening!
With that, there are still things happening with the church this Summer, but we won't be doing our weekly newsletter every week. Please make note of the events and dates shared here today, add them to your calendars and watch for updates on the website.
We will get back to our weekly updates in the Fall.

Wins
Amherst Wesleyan: 1. The Big Give was another great day, with lots of conversations and blessings. It is amazing what something so small can mean to someone. We weren't giving out thousands of dollars or anything like that, but people acted with appreciation as if we had given them something incredible and were shocked to discover we wanted nothing in return. 2. I was able to chat with someone on Saturday about how God has been prompting them to seek Him. There were several events that took place to bring them to our door on Saturday, all with just the right person at the right time. Connection Church: 1. The Big Give in Truro was very successful as well, with lots of conversations, connections and people seeing how God cares about their practical needs. Big thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered to make it happen, and promoted it. 2. Another youth asked about baptism last week! This seems to be something they very seriously want for their life, and it was fun hearing about how even though they can't be at church on Sunday, they watch the services we post on Youtube! |

Trip to Sierra LeoneWorld Hope Canada Pastor Evan has been invited to take part in a special trip to Sierra Leone to discover how World Hope Canada operates and the needs that exist in our world. This will set us up to partner more seriously with World Hope Canada by becoming a Hope Alliance Partner. We are taking this step because we believe the work World Hope Canada does is helping some of the most vulnerable people in our world, and they need our help. We have been blessed so we can be a blessing. Please be praying for their work, and for Pastor Evan as he prepares for this trip. For more infomation visit:

Caton's Island Kids Camp
Caton’s is offering fourteen different camps this summer for all ages. Don’t hesitate to register our camps fill up fast! Caton’s Island is a unique place. Situated in the Long Reach, the 120 acre island is a small piece of paradise. Originally named “Emenenic” – meaning ‘Isle of Prayers’ or ‘Meeting Place’ – a historical monument marks it as the first European settlement in New Brunswick, est. 1611. Take a walk along the scenic trails that wind through the old-growth forest of massive hemlock, mighty oaks, and towering pines. Visit the remote beaches to sit in quiet solitude, and take in the splendid beauty of the river dotted with sailboats. View wildlife, such as eagles, osprey, and owls, along with deer, rabbits, partridge, raccoons, and the various shorebirds, which often make their home here. You’ll soon realize that there is something extra-ordinary about this island. To all this, add energetic campers having fun playing, swimming, or worshiping God, and you will begin to grasp the true distinctiveness of Caton’s as a summer camp – a place where kids learn, grow, and experience life.
