This month we are doing a series called Mental Health Checkup, and it has been planned for months! Seriously, we had this series planned months ago, and the sermons have been prepped for weeks, not knowing that we would be entering a new NS lockdown! Obviously, God is not surprised at all by this new situation we are in, and He knows exactly what we need when we need it. Plus, I just edited the video for Sunday, since we are online only, and the online service is going to be GREAT! The team really honoured Christ with their service this week, and it is clear to me that God is going to speak through them to you in a powerful way this Sunday. 1. Case numbers are continuing to drop in NS, it would seem the restrictions and our concern for out neighbours is making a difference!

2. This sermon series is perfectly timed!

3. Early in the week when we had to decide how we would handle the restrictions, we concluded we needed to do online services for two weeks, even before the government updated their rules!

4. The Emotional Intelligence Seminar is postponed until May 29th, and we have a bunch of people pre-registered for it already!

Don't let anything stop you from boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God

Paul spend a lot of time sharing Jesus with the world, and a lot of people tried to stop him, but when he was in prison for his beliefs and for shraing Jesus, doors opened for him to share even more. Paul understood that he shouldn't and really couldn't ever stop sharing Jesus.

Online Services Only

Senior Volunteers

Our May Seniors events have been cancelled. We hope to launch events when COVID cases decrease.

Sharon Taylor has stepped up to lead the effort to minister to and reach the seniors of our community, and she is hard at work developing ideas, putting events together and recruiting a team of leaders! We still need lots of volunteers though, especially to run events. We need all sorts of volunteers to serve in lots of different ways. If you're willing to serve,  reach out to Sharon at 902-669-1330 (Mobile) and let her know!

Celebrate Recovery 
The God of the Bible, The Father, Son & Holy Spirit are THE higher power – the only one that can be in control.
Only 1/3 of people who attend Celebrate Recovery (CR) do so because of a chemical addiction, the rest are hurts and hang ups. Hurts: abuse, emotional, physical and sexual. Hang-ups: bitterness, anger, trust, do not measure up Habits: behaviours and addictions
You don’t need to hit rock bottom before starting recovery. The 8 principles are based on the beatitudes and the 12 steps flow out of the principles. Join us Tuesday nights, the doors open at 6:15 pm (starts at 6:30). Masks are required and physical distancing will be observed. You can register HERE or call the church at 902 667 9126.

Thursday Prayer
We are starting back up our Thursday Prayer & Fasting time. We encourage everyone to take Thursday at noon to fast and pray. You can join us on facebook Live on our AWC facebook page Thursdays at noon sharp too!
