Vision
Our church is growing, and changing fast! I imagine for many of you every time you are here on a Sunday you see people you haven't met yet. Maybe you look around and don't see the people you used to see. I want to suggest doing three things because of this: First, take the initiative and go out of your way to meet and get to know different people in the church. I often start conversations with, "Have we met?" and the conversation just takes off from there. Try it out! Second, reach out to the people you haven't seen in a while and see how they're doing. Thirdly, reach out to one of the pastors and get to know them too! You can reply to this email, message us, call the office, or connect with us on a Sunday so we can set up a time to sit down and chat! It doesn't need to be anything urgent or serious. We're okay just getting to know you and going from there! So reach out to us if you'd like to chat sometime! |
Wins
1. We have a number of building and renovation projects in the works here, and it has been exciting to see everyone who has spoken up to lend a hand and say they'd like to support the work somehow! 2. On a similar note, we still have lots to figure out with those projects, but God has been moving pieces into place and we are starting to get a clearer picture of how things should play out for our infrastructure. 3. Pastor Brad is moving out of the apartment and into his own house this weekend, which means I might actually get a bigger office soon! |
You Can't Do God's WorkFrom Fishermen to Fishers of Men - Sunday, June 16 When we feel the call of God to change something in our lives, take a step of faith, or reach out and do something to help someone else, we can often fall for the lie that we are supposed to do that on our own. That's like entering a NASCAR race and thinking you have to run the race on foot instead of in the car! It just doesn't make sense! Matthew 14:13-21 You’re not supposed to do God’s work without God’s power. For more infomation visit: http://amherstwesleyan.com/media/2024-06-16-you-can-t-do-god-s-work
